CERTIFIED PROVIDER PATH

Upon completion of the coursework, students have the option to offer counseling to a SWer for 12 hours, pro bono, and attend group supervision once a month for 3 months, and be listed in our Provider Registry page as a "Certified Provider." If you choose this path, we ask that you share your professional or personal website, or social media to verify your adherence to our etiquette and expectations policy.

ECC will refer this client through our parent organization, sex worker-led, Zepp Wellness Center. ECC will meet with each client during their care to discuss your competence in session. Once your direct service & supervision hours are complete and we’ve met with the clients, you will be added to our Provider Registry for two years.

What People Are Saying:

I can genuinely say that this certification course has been a transformative experience, professionally and personally. It's not just about acquiring new skills; it's about joining a community that cares deeply about making a positive impact on the world. I am grateful for the knowledge gained and the relationships formed, and I can't wait to apply these lessons to continue growing as a compassionate therapist.

Victoria M.

Although this training focused on providing equitable care for sex workers, it extended so much further, breaking down the structural issues with therapy and therapeutic spaces. This included looking at the inherently oppressive aspects of social work and therapy, and deconstructing parts we may have been taught were true without examination and historical context. After taking this course, I feel better equipped to provide informed, quality care to both sex workers and all clients with whom I work. I loved this course so much.

Natasha W.

The Equitable Care Certification has been such a gift of lived experience beautifully coupled with therapeutic expertise to help clinicians and providers show up for sex workers in an equitable, integrous, and justice-oriented way. I'm grateful to have learned that this work isn't just beneficial for future clients but also for myself and those in my village and spheres of influence to unearth and address biases/misconceptions that are often barriers to care. This is ongoing work for us as individuals and in our communities and Equitable Care Certification is an incredibly valuable resource for any human on this journey.
