Reclaiming Joy and Intimacy in Marginalized Communities
🎤 Presented By: Victoria Moon
Bio: Victoria Moon is a licensed professional counselor, educator, and founder of Soothing Moon Clinical Counseling. With years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma, she blends clinical expertise with a compassionate, down-to-earth approach. Her work is deeply rooted in advocacy, particularly for Black birthing people, queer BIPOC communities, and others navigating systems that often overlook them.
Beyond the therapy room, Victoria brings her passion for storytelling, community building, and personal growth into the classroom. She believes in creating a learning space where students feel respected, challenged, and inspired to think critically about mental health and their role in fostering change. Known for her humor, openness, and real-world insight, Victoria aims to make each class not just educational, but transformative.
When she’s not teaching or counseling, she enjoys exploring creative projects, spending time with her family, and contributing to community initiatives that promote healing and resilience.
