My name is Katie. I have been a counselor for almost five years now working primarily with the LGBTQ+ with which I am identified. Most of my experience has been in working with folks experiencing poverty and holding BIPOC and/or Queer/Trans identities. My therapeutic method has always focused on exploring systems of oppression and how they life us up or push down on us depending on our identities and how marginalization affects our mental health. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and have lived in a couple other states. I identify as Queer and Indigenous and am white passing. I enjoy art and reading and spending time with my thoughts in nature.
