Joie Bauman (she/her) is a mental health coach based in Central New Jersey with academic roots in social work and years of experience in both traditional and alternative spaces of mental health and wellness. Her professional background includes working with neurodivergence, complex trauma, crisis, suicidality, substance use, eating disorders, homelessness, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

As a Chinese-American transracial adoptee with lived experience of neurodivergence, trauma, and recovery, Joie understands firsthand the limitations of the Western medical model and is committed to unlearning the pathologizing frameworks it upholds. Through a compassionate, peer-centered approach, she aims to meet people where they are, hold space for their complexity, and explore healing through connection and curiosity. Joie believes that by unlearning together, we can begin to reimagine what care and wellness truly mean.
