HELLO, MY NAME IS
LAVENDER ROLAND-WARING
(they/them)
📋 Art Therapist 📍New York, NY 💬 English 🌐 Online
I am a queer, disabled, Black trans art therapist born and raised in New York City. I’m dedicated to working from an anti-oppressive therapy framework, meaning that I like to work collaboratively with clients, emphasize autonomy, and explore the connections between personal traumas & structural systems. When working with clients, I draw from trauma-informed care, disability justice, harm reduction, speculative fiction (mostly Afro-futurism & Octavia Butler), and personal experience.
