Athena is a compassionate and dedicated advocate with over a decade in the adult industry, offering support and guidance tailored to the unique experiences of sex workers. As the Operations Director of SWOP Minneapolis, she has committed her career to creating safer spaces for sex workers and driving systemic change through decriminalization, destigmatization, and empowerment. Athena values health, wellness, and self-care as tools for healing and transformation and sees rest as a radical act of resistance. Her lived experience and advocacy make her a trusted resource for those seeking understanding and nonjudgmental support.

"I take a trauma-informed approach, which means I recognize how past experiences can impact you today, and I work to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and in control of the process. I draw from different techniques, depending on what works best for you. These include mindfulness practices to help you stay present and grounded, narrative therapy to explore and reshape the stories you tell yourself, and solution-focused strategies to identify what’s working and build on your strengths. My goal is to meet you where you are and provide the tools and support you need to move forward in a way that feels right for you."
