The Red Light Rules: The Florida Project
"Well I got emotional recording this review! This film really got to me and the themes it covers got me very fired up. I put off watching The Florida Project because I was told it was extremely sad; to me this is a horror movie (perfect for October) because of the level of sadness and real world/societal horrors that we face. The Florida Project is a Sean Baker film, so of course it touches on sex work and poverty and OF COURSE those things are shown using the most beautiful colors and cinematography. Overall, the film was really great and did a great job of portraying the realities of poverty and just trying to survive. I highly recommend watching this if you haven't already. It certainly isn't a light or fun watch but it is really well done."
